Urgent Care
At Turquoise Trail Vet, we are more than an urgent care practice; we are a group of compassionate professionals devoted to partnership with the community in times of need. Does your pet need our help today?
Online booking available Thursday through Tuesday, 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM!
-
Online booking is available Thursday through Tuesday, 8:30 AM to 6 PM.
Follow the prompts & complete the full registration form! There is a brief initial portion, then a longer and more detailed portion.
Once you have completed both, a member of our team (not an automated system!) will text you to confirm we’re able to see you and ask follow-up questions, if necessary.
Unless we have a doctor available immediately, you will be able to wait at home with your pet until we’re ready to see you.
Please note: Our online waiting list re-sets at the end of every day. Fill the form out only on the day you want to bring in your pet!
If the information in your registration form leads us to believe your pet cannot wait to be seen, a member of our team will call you to gather more information and/or direct you to a local veterinary emergency room.
-
We are not a 24/7 practice, so we occasionally reach our capacity for the day before closing time. If you are planning to walk in rather than book online, please call and chat with a member of our client care team before you make the trip.
Though we are open until 7 PM, we admit our last patient(s) of the day at 6:30 PM to make sure we have enough time to diagnose and treat them before we close.
If you have specific schedule constraints, please let us know! We don’t schedule appointment times, but we will always try to do our best to accommodate those requests.
Pet owners who are ready to say goodbye to their companion are allowed to skip the line. If you need our help to euthanize your pet, please call us and we will take care of you right away.
How Soon Should My Pet Be Seen?
What is
Veterinary Urgent Care?
Veterinary urgent care is a service patterned on the human urgent care model, providing walk-in outpatient care to pets who are sick and need treatment sooner than later, but aren’t suffering from immediately life-threatening conditions. Since our practice (and other urgent care practices like it) are staffed and equipped specifically for this purpose, we can do so more efficiently than a traditional veterinary clinic and more cost-effectively than an emergency hospital.
Let’s talk about the 3 Levels of Pet Care
First things first…
-
Your family vet sees your pet regularly, manages any chronic health issues, and should always be the first place you turn when your pet gets sick. Their services include, but are by no means limited to…
Annual wellness
Routine dentistry
Heartworm/flea/tick prevention Vaccinations
Planned surgeries
Boarding
Grooming
Prescription refills (including pet food) -
Your urgent care vet provides quick and compassionate treatment for urgent but non-life-threatening illnesses. We are here for you when your family vet is fully-booked or closed. See us if your pet is experiencing health concerns such as…
Gastrointestinal upset (vomiting, diarrhea, etc.)
Wound treatment
Skin issues
Torn toenails
Dental emergencies
Urinary issues
Insect bites
Minor break or sprain
Minor urgent surgeries (cuts, abscesses, etc.) -
Emergency/critical care vets deliver life-saving treatment if your pet is critically-ill or dying. They’re available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Consult them for…
Serious broken bones
Uncontrollable bleeding
Respiratory distress
Advanced imaging
Any condition that needs 24/7 doctor oversight
Our Mission
Our mission is twofold: achieve the highest standard of compassionate veterinary medical care for cats or dogs with urgent medical issues, and involve you in the creation of a care plan that best fits your needs and those of your pet.
Our Goal
Our goal is to bridge the gap between your regular vet and the emergency room.
Turquoise Trail’s staff, training, and equipment are geared exclusively towards caring for pets who are sick enough that they should be seen as soon as possible, but not so sick that they require the services of a 24/7 emergency and critical care unit.
Our Promise
Whenever your pet is treated at Turquoise Trail, the full medical record from that visit will be sent back to their regular doctor within 36 hours of discharge. Their lab results, x-rays, and any prescription or after-care information will all be at your vet’s fingertips even before you follow up with them.
We want to be an extension of your family vet.

We offer end-of-life care all day, every day we’re open. This is the only service for which clients are always allowed to “skip the line” and have their pet seen immediately. We also work with a local mortuary service to offer a range of after-care options for your pet’s remains.
Our Costs
Our exam fee is $135, including tax. This is the only fee you are obligated to pay when your pet is seen by one of our veterinarians. Any further costs- for tests, medicines, or other treatments- will be discussed with you before the services are performed.
